WPOA Landscaping

The WPOA Landscaping Department provides a variety of landscaping services to all Wintergreen properties, including W.P.O.A. public areas, W.P.I. public areas, condominiums and private homes.

Some of the services provided by W.P.O.A. Landscaping are as follows:

1. Landscape Consulting - Free of charge, providesm ideas for design, plant selection and estimated cost.
2. Planting Trees & Shrubs - Will provide and plant.
3. Flower Gardens - Both annual and perennial flowers are available for your design choices. We plant or you plant.
4. Mulch Work - Mulching of flower beds, walkways, etc.
5. Pruning - All levels of pruning available, including hauling away debris.
6. 6x6 Timber Curbs & Borders - Build retaining walls or curbs and borders along driveways, walkways or flower beds.
7. Drainage Work - Rip Rap - Culverts - Drop Inlets - Diversion Ditches - Prevent erosion, properly handle water run-off from storms.
8. Weed Control - In flower beds, walkways, driveways, lawns and around your home generally.
9. Gravel - Gravel for your driveways and walkways.
10. Fertilizing & Soil Analysis - For trees and shrubs.
11. Hauling Debris - Haul away limbs, weeds or any type yard debris.
12. Tree Removal - Cut trees and remove, can leave you the firewood.
13. Cutting Vacant Lots - Lot clearing - underbrush, deadwood, etc., mowing and chipping.
14. Leaf Removal - Remove leaves from around your home to reduce fire hazard, or from walkways, flowerbeds and driveways.

Public Areas, Private Homes and Condominiums

From the Community Offices Building, to the Mountain Inn Courtyard, to the individual condominium association, since these areas are highly visible to the resort guests and property owners, the emphasis is placed on color, particularly show gardens usually starting with pansies in early spring, summer annuals towards the end of May, and then mums for fall color. Along with the show gardens, perennial gardens are growing in popularity, putting the accent on the natural and keeping up with the natural beauty of Wintergreen makes maintaining these areas a formidable task. Our staff of trained personnel makes this task an achievable one.

This division of the landscaping department was formed with the individual property owner in mind. We provide quality services to all property owners in both the mountain and valley communities. Due to the nature of the mountain itself, plant material is limited, so working with the natural beauty of Wintergreen is our primary goal. Private home owners are encouraged to seek assistance thru the W.P.O.A. Landscaping Department for all their landscaping needs. Because our staff is limited in number, we operate on a "first come, first served" basis.
