WPOA Operational Update- October 30, 2020

Wintergreen Owners,

It is just over 1 week before the 2020 Annual Meeting.  The documents outlining the upcoming annual meeting should have arrived by now.  Please contact WPOA if you have not received these documents and we will be happy to help.

This years meeting will be hosted using “livestream” and posted on our website www.wtgpoa.org .  We have live streamed our events for many years and the 2019 event can be viewed here:   www.wtgpoa.org/watch-the-2019-wpoa-annual-meeting/

Preparing for this event has presented some interesting challenges.  It is going to be “odd” for all involved, especially those of us presenting into a camera.  No audience, no sense of what topics are interesting to the audience, no hellos, no free coffee, no fun..  just 5 of us trying to remain socially distant.  In the end, our goal is simple.  We want to share important information and give you an opportunity to ask questions.  I am confident we will be able to do that.

Most of the WPOA portion of the meeting has been worked out.  We are still working with the 4 community group presenters on presentation formats, times, etc.  At this point, all 4 appear to be presenting remotely and will be pulled into our livestream at their allotted time.  Once we have their presentation details, we should have the schedule nailed down and be able to produce a final agenda with specific times for each group presentation.

 EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S REPORT- JAY ROBERTS

 POLICE REPORT- CHIEF DENNIS RUSSELL

 FIRE AND RESCUE REPORT- CHIEF CURTIS SHEETS

 QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION: Questions should be sent to admin@wtgpoa.org.  A WPOA staff member will be monitoring the mailbox and questions will be answered by the presenters as they come in.  At the conclusion of the meeting, any remaining questions will be answered and posted on the WPOA website.    

 The community groups will begin presenting at approximately 10:30am and this portion of the meeting should last approximately 1 hour.  To help transition between presentations, we anticipate building into the agenda short breaks between each group.  The entire event should conclude before Noon.
