    Wintergreen Asphalt Paving Notice/Schedule

    As announced in the May WPOA Newsletter, asphalt paving of Wintergreen Drive and portions of Blue Ridge Drive, Blackrock Drive and Devils Knob Loop begins tomorrow, June 5, 2013. Weather permitting the following schedule is planned:

    Wintergreen Drive from the Mountain Inn to Laurel Springs Drive, June 5-10
    Mountain Inn Loop with milling, June 10-12
    Wintergreen Drive from the Mountain Inn to the Gate/Entrance, June 12-18
    Devils Knob Loop and Blackrock Drive to be determined.
    All work is scheduled to be completed by June 30.

    These are tentative schedules as weather and other factors may alter the schedule. So, in summary, for the duration of June, allow ample time to travel on and off the Mountain. Please proceed with caution and obey all flagmen. Other routine road/ditch and culvert work will also be ongoing.

    PLEASE DRIVE SLOWLY AND WATCH FOR WORKERS! SAFETY FIRST.

The Wintergreen Property Owners Association, Inc. is a non-profit membership corporation which is composed of the owners of all properties at Wintergreen. The WPOA is managed by Executive Director Russell Otis and his staff.

The purpose of the WPOA is to maintain and manage the common areas which include the roads, parks and open spaces. The WPOA operates the Wintergreen Police Department and also supports, through financial contributions, the Wintergreen Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad. The WPOA operates a landscaping department which is used for the common areas.

WPOA Assessments are billed annually subject to Article V of the Property Owner Association Covenants, these assessments are due February 1st each year. The 2013 Annual Meeting is tentatively set for November 9, 2013 at 10:00 am in the Skyline Pavilion. For more information, call (434) 325-8526.
