Electric Power
Central Virginia Electric Cooperative provides electric service for residential, commercial, and industrial accounts in and around Wintergreen. Call them at 800-367-2832.
Water and Sewer
More than a few Wintergreen properties get their water from wells and use septic tanks for sewer, but public services are in place in many areas.
Stoney Creek’s water and sewer system is owned and managed by Aqua America (877-987-2782).

Wintergreen Mountain water and sewer services are provided by the Nelson County Service Authority (434-263-5341).
Telephone
Verizon offers traditional land-line phone service to all of Wintergreen. Call 800-837-4966.
VOiP phone service is available from two ISPs: Nelson Cable and FireFly.

Internet
Wintergreen has three internet service providers.
Firefly (833-473-3591) offers high-speed (up to 1 Gigabet) fiber-to-the-home internet.
Nelson Cable (434-263-4805) offers both standard television cable service internet levels as well as a high-speed (up to 1 Gigabet) fiber-to-the-home internet.
Verizon (800-837-4966) can offer DSL internet service to many Wintergreen properties.
Cable TV
Since 1967 Wintergreen’s cable television service has been provided by Nelson Cable. They offer a wide range of service levels. Call 434-263-4805.
Also known as Miss Utility, VA811 is the organization helping you avoid buried power, sewer, gas, communications, and water lines. Notifying Virginia 811 before you dig is the law. Dial 811 in Virginia or call 800-552-7001.
Trash & Recycling
While each condominium complex at Wintergreen has their own dumpsters and cans for fireplace ashes, Nelson County provides the trash management and recycling for Wintergreen homes. The county provides two trash compactors on the mountain. See all the details here
