Swimming, Pavilions & Parks

Wintergreen property owners and their guests can enjoy two swimming pools–

Chestnut Springs on the mountain
and
Rodes Farm in the valley.

The two pools are in well-landscaped settings and offer large pavilions which can be reserved for private parties .

Both sites have playgrounds for children.

WPOA’s Rodes Farm also has a park with picnic tables, a pond, a joint pickleball and tennis court and horseshoes as well, plus an archery range managed by the Wintergreen Sporting Club.

About guests at the WPOA pools: SIX guests per property may access the pool. Example: one owner and five guests can use the pool, two owners and four guests, or six guests. The limit on people using WPOA pools per property is six (regardless of whether an owner or guest).

Spruce Creek Park
Children and the parenting and grandparenting networks around Wintergreen, Nelson County, and beyond are in agreement: The wooden swing sets made with branches, a huge sandbox pit, large rocks to climb on, a mud kitchen, and (most unique) a creek kids are welcome to play in (and more) that sits behind the Natural History Center on Route 151 south of Nellysford is awesome. The Rockfish Valley Foundation’s playground is open every day, from dawn to dusk.
