Emergency services departments in Nelson County are getting a technological upgrade and Wintergreen Police are included in the effort.

There continues to be some progress in creating emergency access onto the Blue Ridge Parkway off of the mountain, says Wintergreen Fire & Rescue Chief Curtis Sheets, adding that a phone conference he had with government officials on Thursday went well.

The Wintergreen Property Owners Association’s tennis court at Rodes Farm reopened on Saturday, May 2nd for limited play.

Nelson County is projected to see the peak in infections anywhere between late May to after July 31, depending on how well control measures succeed.
