Pond Hollow/Laurel Springs/Fortunes Ridge Loop Hike can be accessed from a small pull off at the intersection of Fortune’s Ridge and Wintergreen Drive. This hike will send you through an array of forest types, including mountain laurel thickets, yellow birch, hemlock remains, and oak hickory forest.
From the parking area, trailhead for Pond Hollow is slightly downhill on the left. Follow the trail to the Pond Hollow Access Trail and Laurel Ridge. Turn right at Laurel Ridge. The trail will cross Wintergreen Drive and continue to Fortune’s Ridge. Turn right on Fortune’s Ridge and follow to the starting point.
