This up-and-back hike starts on Grassy Ridge Road. From Grassy Ridge, turn right on Cedar Cliff Trail to the Cedar Cliff Overlook.
The trail meanders through dense forest cover and ends on a spectacular cliff that overlooks the Shamokin Gorge to the north. At the overlook, one notices the eastern hemlocks and table mountain pines shaped by the direction of the prevailing winds.
