This trail can also be accessed from the Three Ridges Overlook Access Trail and the Brimstone Trail.

The Fortunes Ridge Trail follows a cold mountain stream over cascading rock formations. After dropping steeply, a picturesque waterfall emerges about halfway on the trail. The trail passes through laurel thickets that bloom pink in June. Note the dramatic changes in forest types along the trail.
